LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP
Curated by Keita Komiyama of KOMIYAMA TOKYO & Thibault Choay of CLASSIC Paris
A group exhibition exploring Japanese photographic heritage through a conversation between generations and geographic origins, with KOMIYAMA TOKYO representing historic Japanese photographers, posed in contrast with international artists brought by CLASSIC Paris, all sharing similar subcultural subjects, photographic techniques and/or obsessions. Viewed not as an attempt to cover all of history in one show but rather a proposition to open perspectives to an ongoing project by two publishers from each side of the globe.
From November 29th to December 6th 2024
Opening Friday November 29th / 6-9pm
With works by:
Nobuyoshi Araki, Martha Cooper, Joshua Gordon, Kenji Ishiguro, Keizo Kitajima, Shun Kochi, Jiro Konami, Michael Krim, Sly Morikawa, Daido Moriyama, Louise Mutrel, Keisuke Naito, Satomi Nihongi, Rlswyze, Masato Sudo, Ed Templeton, Melchior Tersen, Fabrice Yencko
